SC 549 and SC 819 could be firmware related but you would have started getting them about 2 1/2 years ago. SC 549 and 551 are both problems with the fusing unit. SC 819 could be a hardware error in memory or HDD. Download the Goose's Guide and use it to do your trouble shooting. If you still think it is a firmware issue, when you post again list all the current firmwares on the machine and their current version.

                    Re: need help

The Sc 549 (Rotation) & 551 (Thermistor) are Fuser errors, which is usually caused by a worn out Fuser. The only time I've gotten an Sc 819 on this model is when I tried updating the firmware with an SD card that was too big - over 512mb or had a bad JAVA SD card.

For the Fuser codes you have to run Sp5810 to reset it.

Sorry if you already know all this, but I don't know if you're a tech or an end user. I think your main problem is Fuser related, not firmware.
