Bad batch of toner for the MP4000???

Anybody run into this yet??? I've been seeing a run of bad toner from the factory for the Lanier LD245,345 and Ricoh MP4000... Just about everything has to be replaced P.M wise to correct it...

I haven't heard anything. What are the symptoms of using this 'bad' toner?
Don't take that toner with me!

I don't think it's bad toner, I think it's bad machines. They ALL have issues with toner scumming, over toning, and general pcq. There are other threads here concerning the same issue.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

I surely won't disagree with you on that. They are the pigs of toner consumtion and dusting.

They symptoms are a dark gray background and dusting all over the place..

These most recent models are especially bad. I have some that techs are PM'ing at 50k intervals. But we're the only ones experiencing it on this many machines. Check the TSB for some help.

Why does this not surprise me.. Thanks a lot for that information and I will make the corrections on these machines that seem to be struggling. This seems to make much better sense then just a bad batch of toner.. the symptoms seemed the same..

When they talk about "cleaning the mag roll" are they meaning with scotch-brite? Or some kind of chemical?

I usually just take a scotch-brite pad to the mag roller gently rubbing the surface and then I take a toothpick and scrape inbetween the grooves...

I've just been cleaning them with alcohol and a cloth. Usually they come clean that way but sometimes they need scrubbed or the doctor blade cleaned. I usually us some well worn scotch brite pads when the situation warrants.

Leave it to Ricoh to get Military on us and make us break out the toothpicks and brushes.. For some reason thier developer and toner leave a residue on the mag roller and doc blade that makes for dirty backgrounds on the copies.

The 35/45 series Ricoh has A LOT left to be desired in my opinion. I feel that there is much better machines out there than what Ricoh came out with...
