I know its not brilliant but the 7501 which this replaced had a bigger toner collection, filled up at 50k ish and poured a load of toner inside the machine for good measure. With the 8002, 6502, 5100 machines dropping toner, I have also included a mod for this which I did on the 7501's etc.

DEMS and the machine checking its density to often is the problem and when it does it checks, it basically dumps out the old and brings in the new to refresh the system for constant perfect quality.
With me altering off the various SP's has made no change to the copy quality and I have these in printers who do mainly short runs with the odd long one. Short runs as in 32 sheets of SRA3 as they do business cards etc. The machine produces good copies in my opinion anyway.

      Go to SP3600 / 3 put to 1st power on, 3600 / 5 onto 1, this will prevent any toner dropping. 3600 / 40 DEMS to off.
      SP3820 put to 0.0% from 1-4
      SP3500 to Off

That is it. I have altered these about a 6 weeks ago now and all is fine.

Hope that helps and hope you are all having a nice day :-)

      Hi,
I would like to do the settings for my Pro C5100. Is it possible to have a non default page? When you say sp 3600/3 you mean Sp 3600-003 right? That is TC adj mode. IF I put it to 1 means Tc adj only for first job? What about SP 3600-040 .. if i put it to off means that dems won't be done even if i do it manually? In sp 3500 to off do you nean 3500-001 to 3500-005 all to 0?
      Thank you very much.

I'm not sure if it's good to turn off Expel developer mode. Because with every new toner cartridge machine gets ~30% dev compared with toner cartridge weight. So when developer will be too much in dev unit and he could not be removed, it might occur some problems.

Thanks for all the previous work on this issue. We've saved thousands on toner and WTB visits!
Been running these settings on all our Charis machines since this thread without any issues.
Pushing our first MPC8003SP out the door today with same settings...
Two differences i've found are that the toner cartridges are much cheaper than 8002/6502 one's, also the WTB is 1.5 times the size of the 6502/8002 bottle.

          Regards

            Hi
Try the following, it will help a little.
SP 3520 image quality interval adjust from 30 to 100
SP 3532 time interval adjust to 1440 minuets
SP 3534 job end adjust from 1000 up to 5000

Image quality may drop a little, if its in a school or office it probably wont be noticed.
