[Misc] Pro C900 dev change

Hello all,

Probably a stupid question but how do I change the dev on one of these?

In the service manual it looks like I need 4 old dev bottles for removal, but I only have the 4 new full dev bottles.

Is there a way round this?

No easy way that I can think of, you will probably need to find some empty bottles somewhere.

The machine should have come with a long white box that had 4 empty bottles to do the dev changes. You need one keyed to each color. Ask the owner if he has that box.

It can be configured for which ever one you need. See bulletin 047. If you are going to do all four you will need four.

you need a bottle for each color you change. Are you replacing all 4 colors together? and why?

P.S. always retain the bottles from the new developers you install, for the next developer change.................

Yes they've done double their life so I'm doing a full PM.

I've ordered one bottle to get me started then I'll just keep the empties.

Make sure you run the dev exhaust 2 or 3 times for each color. It helps to pull the dev unit out first and tap on it first to get some of the material freed up in those tiny places in the unit also. When doing the dev fill, agitate the new bottle alot so it is very fluid before attaching it to the dev unit and doing the fill.................
