          Thanks!

So would the removal of the apps take place on the machine or does it need to be done via WIM?

This jogged my memory, that firmware actually wasn't the cure for my slow booting issue as I stated earlier, but rather that somehow no default function priority was selected The machine would eventually boot to copy mode, but when I went into system settings, the function was NOT selected. I don't know how it happened, or how to duplicate it.
So have you physically checked that "copy mode" is the default setting? and even if it is, it couldn't hurt to try switching it over to something else, rebooting, and then switching back.

I would boot with the network cable unplugged, and check if it will boot faster without the hdd. Most of the time HDD comes in the form of a long please wait screen several mins. That machine should be ready to copy from power in about 30-80 seconds, you might not have sp mode or fax etc right away but the copy screen should be visable in that amount of time, if it just says please wait the whole time i would check without HDD, if faster then try reformat and download stamp data, or another hdd.

Thanks Sandmanmac! This solved it. . .

There was nothing selected in the function settings. As soon as I selected copy, restarted and back to normal!

                Thank you!!
