    [Dead] SCX-5935

Last week there were some mildly energetic storms here, and I got a call on a SCX-5935 that perhaps got struck by lightning (although none of the computers in that office failed, so maybe something else is going on there). When I got there the only thing heard from that machine was the power supply cooling fan. I replaced the power supply and then could hear the HDD spool up and the doc feeder start to initialize. The display was still totally blank though and the machine didn't come to ready.
I apologize if I get any of the following descriptions wrong. But the LED on the "DC controller" (the board that you see when you take the right hand cover off) was on as well as the LED on the underside of the op panel was on as well. When I checked the DC output from the power supply it looked OK, but I'm not sure because the manual I have for that machine apparently isn't very good.
I've got a replacement op panel assembly staged for that machine, but I'd appreciate it if you would tell me if I am missing something here. Or if there is any other info that I have failed to share.

I think I'd go with the PBA Main Controller next, if you really wanted to fix it. You've probably already surpassed the replacement cost. I might offer up the used xxx on the shelf with low miles. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We had one that would not turn on and it was the power supply where the cord goes in the machine. There are a couple other posts here. Samsung said is is a common issue.

blackcat4866's reply was the one that worked this time. I changed the main board (JC92-02071A), and the machine came back to life.
        Thanks!
