    [Dead] Samsung SCX-6220

Samsung SCX-6220 no power & nothing on display.
A line of boxes came up on top of screen but nothing now.

Fuser needed replacement as bushing was broken & when I replaced it it did not power up....

What happens when you put the old fuser back in?

It sounds like there's a dead short in your new fuser. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I had similar issue with another machine. Install your old fuser back and check if the machine starts. Are you using 120V or 220V ? Did your fuse blow up?

            hi lads,

The first thing I tried was the old fuser but the machine is still dead and no fuse blown... It's a 220v machine

That leaves the power supply. The fuser is powered by the power supply, and is the usual source of fuser meltdowns on Samsung products. =^..^=

I left the machine powered on and when I went back to it the line of black boxes across the top of the display was flashing clearly..
I closed the doors and it tried to power up until it came up with a
                  'open heat error'
Going to try the new fuser again & see how it goes......

Installed new fuser and it worked!!
