[CQ] Samsung CLX-775 Poor Black Solids

I was asked to look at one of these machines by a customer of mine as the black prints are light and patchy. Cleaned everything i could see, took out the black toner cartridge and gave it a good shake (Genuine), ran through the calibration setup on the machine and after everything the black is still wishy washy. Colours are vibrant and solid but black is not?

any thoughts, is it possible for faulty toner?

Yea most likley a bad cartridge.

Just replace it.

Do you mean clp 775 it will probably be the toner as they are a complete unit including drum etc only use oem just replace

yes toner and drum are all in one.

try to stay away from non-oem, sometimes they do work. but you take that risk.

Genuine CLP-775ND cartridges had a design fault on them. Regular occurence, cartridge will hit 50% then quality will be inconsistent. If customer keeps getting this, they should look in buying a new printer.
