Just changed the exit sensor, didn't help, exact same symptom... :-(

I guess the pickup roller assembly (JC97-03028A) will be my next bet.

I forget what jam codes I saw, but I have seen jamming caused by excessive paper dust in the pre-registration sensor. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Can you tell me where is this sensor located? Thanks.

The PE sensor and pre-registration sensor are between the cassette and registration roller. I seem to recall accessing the sensor from the rear door. Sorry I can't remember the details. =^..^=

I took the printer apart again.

The pre-registration sensor is the mck sensor (small pcb) right?

It was clean, no paper dust.

I also took out and checked the pick up roller, doesn't seem worn at all, still feels "sticky".

I doubt replacing that would help, but I am running out of idea.

Can the paper cassette be at fault?

Only if the cassette length is not set correctly. Sorry, I'm out of ideas.

It's the pick up roller, obviously I need to revise my definition of "sticky" ;-)
                  The printer is working again.
                  Thanks for all the help.

Please don't take this personally. There is enough information in the original post to do this task. If you want, take a try at it. But I recommend that you use the services of a professional. =^..^=
It's worth the $134 to install a $4 part that should never have needed to be replaced in the first place on a printer that costs $260?

That's over 50% the cost of the printer. Absolutely not worth that investment...

I'd rather buy a printer that isn't a POS to begin with.

Sorry, I now have to find somewhere to get this part in Vancouver, BC and wait printerless until it comes so I am a little bitter and once loved Samsung now can't stand them.

                      Cheers...

Looking for Orginal Post on how to Replace the 0604-001393 Sensor on CLX-3175FN

Forgive me, I have just joined this forum. The information on replacing the sensor for the Samsung CLX -3175FN printer jam issue, perfectly describe my issue.
There was a mention that the original post describes the procedure for replacing the sensor. Can someone point me to that post!

                        Thanks in advance.

Just be careful removing the covers. Right side first, then the scanner, then the left side, then the engine top cover. Then you'll see the sensor (it's next to the fuser, not in the cover).

I can do it in 35 minutes, and I'll bet you can too, after a dozen tries. =^..^=
This is it. I think there's a youtube video out there, but couldn't find it. =^..^=

                            Samsung CLX3175FN Jam at 1

                            Blackcat4866,

Thanks you for the quick reply. I have ordered the parts and will replace it using your instructions. I have also purchased the Maintenance manual for the CLX-3175FN. I expect that with these instructions, the repair will go smoothly.

Thanks for the help and for this forum.

This sounds like my problem. Stuck at Jam 0 on a 3175FN. Can't seem to locate the PN to replace this part... I will admit I am having trouble finding it so that I can clean the sensor off... More hints please!

I am more than willing to pay a pro to come out and service the printer but they want $250.00 to come out and the printer is only worth $300. I would really like to salvage this printer and not send it to the land fill.

Hi ... I replaced the 0604-001393 sensor...I took my time and it was not that difficult....BUT it still shoots the Jam 1 error code.

Any thoughts of what it could be...new sensor was bad (from Samsung) or a bad installation? Anything else?

                                Thanks
