In general; What are Samsungs like?

    Hi guys,

I just have a general question about Samsung MFP's. What are they like?

I mean I know the low-end models they manufacture for every other brand and I've even dealt with a few of them in the field, but the high-end models, the A3's? What are they like technically speaking? Any ups / downs, caveats, or just thoughts in general? Comparing to lets say Canon or Ricoh, how's the color quality, the frame, the parts etc etc.

Let me hear anything and everything
    Peace sells, but who's buying?

I can say reasonably good things about the SCX-6345 (that would probably include it's sister the SCX-6545). We placed a couple of them out of state. The customer self-serviced for the most part. We subcontracted three or four calls for issues with the fuser exit switch and the fuser drive unit. but overall these machines quickly passed 1M copies/prints. A can't really speak to the other larger A4 and A3 machines. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      Nice, thanks for the info!

I'd love to hear more opinions, if anyone's willing to share.

I also have many high volume SCX-6345 and the new models. They are durable. I worked with Samsung about 4 years ago and the copier organization was in disarray at that time. Actually, chaos! I buy the boxes thru Muratec as they have good support and chaos free. A little more pricey, but worth the price when you need help. The drum units on this series are prone to premature light print/copy.

Okay, sounds promising. Not very different from your average supplier, am I right?

What's the color quality like? Could you get away with placing a machine at an architect or a color professional? I.e. are they like Xerox or Kyocera?

So Muratec has parts for Samsungs too?
