    SCX-5935 A4

I have a customer with a Samsung SCX-5935 and everything that comes in, either from fax or print, wants to go on A4 instead of letter. I have made sure the paper trays are set correctly, but, it errors and asks for A4 paper to be loaded.
I have checked all the settings that I know of to try to fix this problem.
Does anyone have any insight into this issue?
    Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Your customer probably corresponds with people from hk or Europe where their documents are on A4 instead of letter, the easiest solution is to sell them a second tray and set that tray as A4 and the machine will select the correct tray as demanded by the document.

It's been a while since I've seen one of these fine POS's, Don't they have a setting for paper size substitution?? If so set it to sub A4 to letter. Back in the day of faxes it was common to see on the display of a fax that it was sending A4->A4............ the receiver would print on letter though........

I have looked for the Auto A4 function on previous Samsung's and it just wasn't available. tseto has the only practical solution. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            Re: SCX-5935 A4

I've thought of a second choice:

In the print driver default paper selection to Tray #1 (not Auto)
In the print driver default to Fit-To-Page.

The first choice ensures that the page will print regardless of original size. The second choice ensures that the image will fit the paper size.

That solves prints only. It won't do a thing for faxes.

Perhaps you could forward faxes to email, then print them via the print driver? I know it's a bit circuitous, but it gets you to the right destination.

Sorry guys. I forgot to post that I had solved this. I ended up restoring defaults and setting paper trays up again.
              Thanks for all the responses.

I'm sorry. I don't understand the resolution. Were you able to dedicate a tray to A4 paper size? =^..^=

According to Google maps it is just 352km. Not far at all.
