    SCX6345 VOIP

I have a customer that switched from a landline to VOIP (please, no laughing). He is able to transmit out ok, but the machine never rings when dialed.
We verified the fax # is correct when dialing to a cell phone. I had him turn off ECM, and want to decrease modem speed to 9600bps.
I see in the service mode for FAX NVM Read/Write settings #20-800 that the default speed is number 24, which I'm guessing is for the higher bps speed.
Does anyone have the breakdown for which number I need to input for 9600bps?
The customer really likes the speed when faxings, but slowing the bps down might take him back to the landline (which would be the best thing to do).
    Thanks in advance...

Are you sure the line even rings? Test with a pots handset.

Often the line doesn't ring when called. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

Agreed... The machine (or a cheap telephone) should ring regardless of modem speed settings.. Does it ring? (make sure ring volume is audible too tho!)

          regards!
