[CQ] Strange image issue on dragons 1 and 2

I have this strange issue where every once in a while ill get a print or copy job that is mostly blank with some image on right side. I can run more jobs and they would be ok. (its a solid blank not a fade) so, I was wondering do you think it could be a high voltage issue?

Sounds like a double feed (static holding two sheets together) with pages overlapped.

zootech I know what your talking about but I don't think double feeding is the problem in this case. would I get some completely blank pages with double feed?

I did have one of these blow the high voltage board.
It would go blank after a long run , then it went blank
every copy. Replaced high voltage pwb.

Though any of these three explanations are possible, based on the KISS principle, I would pursue them in this order:

              1) Doublefeeds: Yes you can get completely blank pages if the two pages exactly cover. The clue to watch for is the amount of image on the page. Is it consistently a specific distance or does it vary? I would expect a doublefeed issue to vary quite a bit, and leave image only at the trailing edge of the print or copy.
              2) Laser: First check to see if you're getting any laser codes recorded. A failing laser diode can fail to light for a period of time, then resume, giving crisp image quality right up to the point where there isn't any image. Either way, you should see fault codes recorded.
              3) HVT: I'm thinking this is not the cause. An HVT failure should give you voids crossfeed of varying widths, and varying image quality.

              =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Is the LSU shudder opening properly?
I have seen them stick on one side causing blank copies or blank to one sine.
