    Sharp ARM257

Have an issue where copies, just along top lead edge where it has streaked copy.
Have changed the Drum, Blade, DV, Toner blade, Updated Fuser, and every time
I leave account everything is fine - then I get a call a week later telling me the issue
    is back again.

    Any suggestions welcomed!

sample image would be good, one mans streak is another mans smear. have you replaced DV seal or are you calling it toner blade, also the main charge can cause streaks. the seal on the drum unit wears out and the drum unit needs to be replaced.

A sample of the issue would be helpful. Is the customer having the issue out of tray 1 or the bypass tray, etc. Is it happening first thing in the morning, is it happening during large runs?

Sometimes the simplest replacements are the easiest to overlook. The DV Blade looked fine, however, when changed - so far, things are good. Thanks for showing me something I should not have overlooked.

Did you replace the fuser hot roller cleaning felt ?
Did you fix it firmly into place correctly ? They're fuser pad is only good for 150k.

I can't remember it this model has a similar toner compacting fault in the dev unit like the ar155's.
Fault: The toner packs firm into the dev unit and creates void streaks on the copies.
Solution : Vaccum out half the toner out of the dev unit and replace it.

          ------------update ---------------

For the apprentices out there. DO NOT vacuum the toner out of any "dual component" developer unit regardless of the machine make or model.
You can only do this with a mono developer unit systems.

I didn't mention that in the original quote - but yes, I did all of those things - it was the DV Blade that was the culprit. I've never missed this in 20-years. I thought because the way things evolved it was electronic and not something simple. Thank you for responding. I'm going to stand in the corner and feel stupid for awhile.

This is dual component developing Neo. I would hate to see what happens when you vacuum out half of the developer. It would overtone like crazy. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

No need for that, if everyone 'fessed up, you would have lots of company in that corner.

Never own up to a mistake to appear you're not as smart as the guy that screws up everything and blames it on the Customer. If it was understood, the mylar looked good. Have a good night.
