[CQ] MX-C311 Color Calibration

I have been working on a Sharp MX-C311 which has terrible copy quality. Another tech ran a color calibration on the machine which actually made it worse. I ran sim 44-02 and got errors on PCS_K LED ADJ, REG_R LED ADJ, and REG_F LED ADJ. I replaced both the transfer belt and registration unit with ones out of a machine that worked. Despite that SIM 44-02 still gets errors in the same places. Any suggestions on things to try or what other components might be malfunctioning?

check your black drum K looks like all 3 errors could be related to the same thing. Front and rear registration problem as well as blk drum patch error.

take it apart and clean everything...then run sim 50-22 and adjust the skew...then 44-2; 44-6; 44-26; 46-24...

replace the resist sensor . it reads the patches on the transfer belt. it sits next to fuser and gets cooked. p/n CHLDZ2001DS53. there will be a sticker on the resist sensor unit it has the base values to enter into the sim mode , check service manual.

I figured out the issue with your guys help. Thanks. I ended up taking the guts of the machine out again and doing another thorough cleaning. I then ran SIM 50-22 and discovered that even without turning the adjustment screws the skew values would change by more than 10 points for each lens. I replaced the LSU and started back at the beginning of the calibration and lo and behold, the errors in 44-02 were gone and the machine began producing much better quality copies.
