Re: sharp mx2610n loosing yellow
check the transfer belt unit, there is a roller/shaft that sits next to the yellow transfer roller in the belt unit this roller will pop out of place and effect the yellow color.. /before I found out about the roller/shaft, would have different issues with yellow dropping out and coming back in. -
Re: sharp mx2610n loosing yellow
These machines have a tendency to suck the developer out of the developer unit also. The drum will short out, causing DV material to stick to the drum. It all ends up in the Waste toner bottle. Sometimes you can replace drum and DV, but sharp says they had some issues with the High voltage PWB. The PWB isn't that expensive, so it wouldn't hurt to replace all three.Comment

Re: sharp mx2610n loosing yellow
Techmann is right it sounds like HV pwb. I had what sounds the exact same problem apart mine was Cyan. Changed drum, charge and Dev, worked ok for a week then same problem. Changed HV pwb, and drum, Dev again and never been back to it since.

Re: sharp mx2610n loosing yellow
The fact that you change the DV and all is good for a day or two before the problem returns leads me to think after market toner issue as a possible causeWhen I started servicing copiers they used toaster ovens for fusers.....I'm oldComment

Re: sharp mx2610n loosing yellow
In other mx models I've found it to be the toner drive pack. This happened on four machines last year. Though they were older models. If you have a parts machine it is a relatively easy repair.
