This MX-C311 is way off on color. Too Magenta. Tried to run color balance sim 46-74. Prints out test sheet and goes on the glass and reads but never prints out second sheet. Just sits there. Also when I run sim 50-22. Faults it with sub yellow front 41 or sub black 10 or main Magenta 36 faults and won't pass. Put in new drums, new developer, and new transfer belt unit. No change. Too much Magenta and color registration is off. Any ideas?? Been through the manual 20 times!

I don't know that particular model. I usually just run the box machines. Lol.

Re: MX-C311 won't set up in sim46-74
Go to sim 50-10 and set A to 100
Go to sim 50-20 and set all of the color adjustments to 100
Rerun 50-22 and adjust accordingly, this adjustment should work.
If it does work then you can run 46-74 to get your halftones right.Comment

Re: MX-C311 won't set up in sim46-74
Setting to 100 is resetting to factory settings.
The settings can get maxed out after they have been run and several times.
You then run the 50-22 to set it for the individual machine.
Works for me every time, unless there is a problem in the machine.Comment

These settings should work , it is a bulletin or tech tip from Sharp , have used these settings when the mfp has nervous break down. Also check the process sensor(or what ever sharp calls it) it reads the patches on the transfer belt for your calibrations and densities. it sits below fuser on this model and will melt from the fuser heat. search the forum , it's a post from a couple years ago.Comment

Re: MX-C311 won't set up in sim46-74
Setting to default would be great except if default always worked right then there would be no adjustments to made. When you run the print you will see front side and rear side center. The colored indicator line needs to be centered front and rear for each color regardless of the numbers. Machines age, are subject to being jarred while being moved, etc...
