    ARM 550 Jamming 1st tray

Hi i have 2 different Sharp ARM 550 N,jamming in the first tray(for multiple pages).I've changed the tires, tork limiter, sensor above the first tray and the drive unit for 1 st and 2 nd tray and the machines are still jamming from the first tray (the second tray works fine).

    Can anyone HELP.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

On the key pad from the copy screen punch in this sequence: #*c* . This will put you in simulation mode. Then 23 start. 2 start. (23-2)This will print a list of your jam codes. If you share with us the codes we can help you better. Hit system settings twice to back up to the initial menu then hit 22 start 6 start (22-6) this will give you a list of sim settings, and the age of all consumable parts. This will help you know what is coming up for repair. Share top page of both sheets so we can better help you.

the first two codes you listed were duplex unit jam codes...check around the duplex unit...

Third one is before fuser, but that fourth one according the manual is when PFD2 is not reached when printing from Tray 4, and that last one is when that same sensor is not reached, but it's coming from Duplex.

I suggest you clean the transport rollers in the duplex unit, check to see if anything is stuck, like a piece of ripped paper.

Check section 6 - 49 in service manual. Good luck!
