AR-337 smudge on first copy only , PLEASE HELP

I have 2 ar-337's in the field that smudge on the leading edge on the first copy only, time after time, multiple runs all day, like a cleaning blade smudge on first copy only.

I have done full PM's and replaced and swapped out multiple things with no success.

Now here is the kicker, if you turn the power off/on the machine will not smudge till the next day or two, so turning the power off is making the problem go away for a while, deeming that the issue must be electrical and not mechanical.

My customers are getting quite upset that this cannot be fixed,
has anyone seen this problem ?

    Please help, any info. appreciated.

I may try DC power supply and main pcb next, the problem is hard to duplicate since it goes away when powered off and on, but then just shows up days later...

Take a look at the pretransfer guide. It has some sort of white painted coating, that when worn through builds up static charge on the bare metal, and tracts toner.

I know it sounds goofy, but I know of two machines for sure that were fixed this way. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Blackcat was right. Also check the DSD collars on the DV unit. Make sure they turn freely.
I know you said you did a full PM, but in most cases I've seen, there is usually a wear mark on the drum somewhere causing it. Try replacing a drum & I almost guarantee it'll disappear. Hope that helps.
      Hope that helps !
