MX-4100n - Image on pages shrunk.

Tech went out to look at machine. Did power cycle and pulled cable from wall for awhile and prints returned to normal. Just wondering if this is a precursor to something and if so what it would be. 22-6 printed on a 1/4 of the page he said. Laser? PWB?

Those pictures look like they were copies from the glass, correct? I have seen an MX5070 machine do this to copies from the glass or ADF. I ended up having to replace the entire scanner unit. Replacing just the CCD did not fix the issue. If it is doing it on internal prints, like you suggest, then I'm not 100% sure, but more than likely a board that is starting to go bad. Good luck!

All prints including 22-6 were similar.

My guess would be laser. I've seen a couple cases where the image size was changed (usually blown up or shifted 4" to one side) and the laser fixed it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Could be the registration clutch is hanging up and throws off the timing of the paper

If a power cycle and plug pull fixed the issue I think I am leaning more towards pwb or laser.

Best way to check this is to interrupt a print job, pull the primary transfer and look at the image on the belt, then you'll know for sure.

Problem returned. Replaced laser tested ok for now. Put the customers laser in a different machine to test for a bit.
