    Sharp AR407 code F2

has F2 code, could not get it to display any subcode.

replaced toner roller, and developer and ran developer initialization.
also ran code to clear service code, but still has F2 message.

still copies fine but I can't get the message to clear.

sorry I don't have more but I normally only work on Ricoh and Kyocera.

Sim 22-6 will print all jam codes & error codes. It's not the toner roller problem as it won't run if that's the case. It should be a process control code. F2-31 or F2-37, Drum mark or image density. You can execute 44-6. This should show which is out of range. Pull the drum unit out & clean both sensors. Check that the blade is cleaning from end to end that the DM is visible to the sensor.
    Hope that helps !

There are a lot of choices for F2-?? Hold down the Start button to see the remaining digits.

The F2 series codes cover toner density, and it's detection via the drum mark and toner density sensors. As tmaged says, print 22-6 to get the whole code. I'll be waiting. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

the thing is that it is still working fine so if I press the start button it just makes a copy.
I will try the drum reset on Monday
        thanks

Yep, that's why it's just a process control that is out of spec. Nothing detrimental that should shut the machine down.
          Hope that helps !
