we have a 450 that second tray won't adjust thru service mode. any idea befor we truck 50 miles. machine reads sensors from 04-11. it a renal so we might just have to swap out and bring back to shop but some outside thinking might help.

To adjust the multipurpose tray width go to simulation 40-12 and follow the prompts.
If you cannot get a valid adjustment check the bank of size switches inside the rear frame. It's pretty common to get paper jammed back there.

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

when to customers office after trying to get them to set 40-12 over the phone and we could not set either. no paper or dust in sensors if no one else has a suggestion guess we just have to swap her out

problem solved someone must have been playing in the tray setting. that's all it took fill stupid but when you don't know your machine inside and out it will happenComment
