    transfer roller Cleaning?

If a transfer roller needs cleaning is a dry lint free cloth the only remedy ? Can alcohol be used or something milder? Thsi is of course when a new one is not readily available. Frank/ActionP

If you use a liquid of any kind, dry time is an issue. Any liquid or solvent is going to brake down fiber of roller. I have tried cleaning similar Transfer Rollers with Chemical - not a good thing.

Most replies have said no liquids , especially solvents. And most use dry cloth or vaccumm (some with a small brush attachment. Thank you. Frank

All the manuals say dry dust-free cloth. You might as well wish it were clean. That just doesn't work.

I've had good luck with mild ammonia-free glass cleaner, just try not to soak it, and let it dry. Don't scrub. Wipe charge rollers with a long continuous stroke end-to-end, and keep going around until it's clean (3 or 4 times around depending on how dirty it is).

Never use alcohol. It will definitely damage the surface. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
