    Sharp MX-FXX1

This is probably an easy one - have a MX-FXX1. Outgoing Faxes okay - Incoming Faxes - Fax Unit Rings but will not connect to Receive. Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Could the reception mode be set to "Manual" or "Ans Mach" instead of "Auto"?

Also check to see if distinctive ring has been enabled. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thought of this - Client sent me an email with little or no info. I was doing a pre-emptive - that's probably it. I wanted to see if there was anything I might have missed. Thanks for your reply BlackCat4866.

Recheck and reseat your FAX ROM. If that doesn't fix it, reseat the DIMM in slot 4. My tech rep had me replace the DIMM in slot 4 because of several units with the same issue. I hope this helps.

This make sense to try. I had an MX-2700N with a LCD Screen issue. I thought it was the screen itself it wasn't showing well. I pulled and re-seated the memory chip and that ended up being the fix.

Your input is appreciated. Thank you.
