    MX-7040 transfer cleaning blade flipping

This machine when new had the transfer blade flipping problem. We put the mods on it as per the service bullitens and the machine has been trouble free. Belt and blade have been changed at maint intervals and all has been fine. Now all of a sudden it is flipping blades again. We have put new blades on, replaced belt and blade, tried every kind of patting powder and we can not get this to stop. I know this is a problem with this model. Anybody figured what the actual cause for this to happen? We have others of this model out that have never had this problem. Thanks for any help or advice on this.P.S this is the main primary transfer clean blade

I did not look at that specificaly but I just looked at the bulliten. I should have mentioned in my post this is the primary transfer cleaning blade that is giving me problems.

Does the customer run at least 10% color volume compared to black? There's a soft switch for another model that may apply to periodically apply yellow toner to the belt to keep the blade "lubricated".

They do run low volume color. I looked and did not find anything about the soft switch to periodally apply yellow toner. Do hou happen to have any more info about that even for othe models? Thanks

Is it OEM toner? I had a machine (not Sharp) that scoured the transfer belt in 30K because of "Premium Compatable" brand toner (and yes they could not even spell "Compatible" correctly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Take a look at bulletin TT-102016_1. It states which soft switches to set to add yellow toner in the 5050 through 6070 series machines. I'm not sure if the settings will be the same for the 7040, but I wouldn't doubt it.

              Good luck!

Well my company uses crap Royal imaging toner, but luckily they do not have generic for this model. Stuff runs like trash in all the other models but hey, it saves money,so they say.
