    Sharp FO-5700 not feeding legal

I have a Sharp FO-5700 that does not recognize legal paper. When legal is received or copied, it prints on two sheets of letter from the cassette. If it is forced from the tray it prints on two sheets of legal. I have replaced the sensor in the tray that indicates legal positioning. I have tried option settings, memory clear, and soft switches.

Sorry, no manuals where I am at. The paper size in the tray is programmed, but I don't remember exactly where. If I had I machine I could browse to it. Sorry I'm not much more help... =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've tried replacing the internal tray sensor and I also get 5 vdc switching 0v-5v when I slide the guide in and out of the legal position. I will try to check this again. Thank you.

Thanks for reminding me tmaged. These are really junky switches. They're used in several places on Sharp facsimile. I've gotten new ones that have worked worse than the original. =^..^=
