I am getting a grey line on the back side of print jobs. They are about an 1/8" wide run from front to back. The line varies as far as location, it is not in the same location all the time. I tried my hardest to get it to occur on a copy job, but I just cannot. She is using MS Word. Any ideas, I do not see any problem with the drivers and it occurs on more than 1 PC.
MX5500N grey line on back side.

There is no difference in machine operation with paper path & consumables/parts used between a print job & a copy job. I cannot see how you would get a line only on print jobs, unless there is a fault with the documents being printed.
I suggest you get a copy of your clients problem document and print it on another machine, or print it directly from your laptop to ensure the problem is not on their network drivers.
I look after a large fleet of C-Dragon's, and they are a quite reliable beast..... but when there is a fault on prints, you will have a fault on copies too.
I suggest to have a look at the web roller to make sure it is not contaminated, which can cause dirty lines on the lower pressure roller (therefore causing lines on the back of your pages), or check the black main charge grid, as depending on page coverage, you may get lines on some pages and others will be fine when the grid is near the end of life.
Also... if possible, send us an image of your fault for better diagnosis.Comment

Also.... check the fuser entry plate for a buildup of toner which can streak across the lower pressure roller as it is very close to it.Comment

Sorry for the delay. I believe I have resolved it. I checked the LSU flap under the black drum to check for burrs. I did not find any but after I reseated it the problem did not come back. Sharp tech support also said to try cleaning the IMC memory.Comment

The LSU Shutter was an issue on the Pastel1 series. I have never had that problem with the shutter sticking open, causing a line on the back of pages on a C-Dragon. Very interesting. Will keep an eye out for it. Thanks.Comment
