Approximate page count? Attach an example if possible! Does the line move or does the width change at all? LSU is a possibility, same with PTC(doubt it, but easy to clean), also what about the discharge lamp grid within the unit? Did you perhaps try to swap cyan with another drum unit to see if the problem moves? That would rule out the entire process unit. If there were potential power issues, I would think it's possible that the one of the power supply boards could be failing, and either way, could have caused another component to fail. -
Hi. You may want to check the mc electrode components. From my experience with these Phoenix2 Griffin2 machines It usually is the cyan and black springs which are heavily corroded.
You can replace them or clean them with sandpaper and alcohol. Here is the part no. for your refence MSPRC4559FCZZ.
Sorry for the mistakes. I'm new here but I have been a lurker for the longest time. This forum has saved me a lot of times. Time for me to give something back to the community.
Hope this helps!👍 1Comment

Where is that quality sample? If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

So we went through the swapping of drums and applying conductive grease on the springs from the inside(which worked for a week).
It was a tear down job so that was our last option but was worth it after all.
FYI the machines have almost 2m clicks and yes I do live in the carribean.

Have you put a line monitor on to see if something odd is going on at the customer's site? We currently have one in the shop doing the exact same thing with blue lines, but we can't get it to do the lines at the shop. They show up early and often at the customer. We tried power boards, LSU, PTC, drums, all that stuff and nothing worked. I'd look closer at the power situationComment

This is a extremely common problem on the CR4 and CR4.5 series now.
100% it is your mc electrode unit.
The spring corrode overtime and cause this issue in the main scan direction.
Please see attached bulletin for part numbers.
It's a little fiddly job, not very hardAttached FilesComment
