Hi. I'm not familiar with error 21 but I've seen error 10 that eventually turned into error 20. From my experience it has something to do with the pressure release mechanism. A bearing was not seated properly onto the frame at the front side of the fuser unit which can also break the actuator.

OK I replaced all the bearings again, and double checked my work..... problem is gone. I guess if you guys run into this check your bearings and make sure everything is seated properly.

I had been advised by sharp hotline not to worry about getting meandering adjustments done after replacing heather roller kit it comes factory set and IF machine runs fine and to change fast wakeup to low.

Changing Fast Wakeup to Low is one way to piss off the customer. Just lower the preheat to 5 mins, and the turn off to 15. We do that everywhere and don't hear any complaints. Sharp wants you to change those timers to 1 minute, which is insane, and frankly, lazy, by the engineers. Perhaps make the fuser parts last longer than 100k? 5141/3640 series machines could go for double the maintenance interval most of the time. Phoenix 1/2 go for half the interval a lot of the time.

Also, check your meandering adjustments from factory, we keep getting receiving BP machines with the adjustment out of spec and a few have blown up within the first 100k.

It's in the tech guide, you have to check the meandering even on a new unit.

There is no handy/tech guide for North America. They mention multiple adjustments for the main unit in the install guide, but not once mentioning meandering adjustment. We end up having to adjust 25-50% of them out of the box.

                        The meandering procedure has changed.

You are supposed to do meandering adjustment with a cold fuser.

Once you rebuild a fusing unit, install it and leave the duplex door open, boot up the device and enter simulation

Once in simulation, sim 6 - 8, then close the duplex door and start the simulation

This is the only true way to do meandering adjustment
