So we also used to carry Kyocera, which used charge rollers for most of their machines, and we used to have issues like this, and it ended up being the charge roller sometimes, but other times the DV unit, or the transfer unit. It's a drawback of the charge roller idea. At least Sharp fixed their fuser and finisher issues before creating new problems! HA. not.👍 1Comment

We have seen this before in our case we had to replace the drum for the color of the line. it seems that the charge roller wears into the surface of the drum during transport. or if the machine sits for a prolonged amount of time there is a bulletin for this CCE-2789👍 1Comment

In case anyone uses this post for reference in the future, I wanted to clarify between the two problems. We have had drums come in damaged from being shipped improperly as shown in the post just above. That wasn't the problem that started this post. It was making thin double lines at random in any given color. It appeared to be an electrical problem. Possibly from some kind of arcing in the contacts.👍 3Comment
