    Sharp AR M355 FN6 "F1-15" code

I have a customer (court reporters) who use this machine all day. The finisher is stopping with an F1-15 code. When I show up the lower tray is all the way down. Usually, restarting the copier takes care of the problem.
Has anyone had this problem before. Any experiences will be greatly appreciated. I am going to replaced the upper/lower limit sensors.
    Thank you for the help.

I think you mean AR-FN7. The bins on the AR-FN6 finisher don't move.

On the surface replacing the limit photosensors makes the most sense, but I don't think this is going to help you. You should make sure that no one has leaned on the tray and bent the mounting brackets. If they become bent it is tricky getting them straightened out to some functional state. What you need to achieve is to have the plastic feature on the tray strike the sensor in the center of the paper path. When it misses the sensor, that's when you get the F1-15. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The sensors are a good shot. Had this happen once....the harness that runs inside the bottom of the finisher had gotten hung up in that spring wrong, and was throwing intermittent codes. We replaced the harness and set the sliding plastic guides just prior to paper exit back properly and all was well. You have to pull the finisher to get to them, but no major disassembly was required. You might check the bracket where the exit sensor on the shift tray is mounted, too. Have seen that broken.

If you have AR FN7, I agree with blackcat.
If you have AR FN6, please check and clean all sensors and sensors actuators

Under great stress the FN-6 lift belt will separate from either the tray or one of the drive gears. If it was reset and no longer comes up with a code then probably someone sat on it.
