I swapped the clutches around and having same issue...Should I bite the bullet and order a DSPF PWB? No paperclips, staples or debris on board.

Do you have any spare clutches from a scrap machine laying around? I am assuming swapping you meant changing position within the same unit. Also, how is the error code and jam history? Other indications of debris on the DSPF is contant jamming because a sensor goes inop. I would remove the board and see if there is any debrtis under the board indicating it once was on it then slid off after users lifted the ADF a few times. I have had times where some issues go away after removing debris but some issues continue.

Sharp put out a bulletin about one of the DSPF belts not having enough tension.

Could you post the bulletin if you have it? I am having a hard time finding it in the bulletin library. Thanks!

I have seen failing CCD units cause this type of distortion. Try replacing the lens unit
