    Flaring blacks MX-3070

I have a 3070 kicking my ass. I have replaced the MFP-pwb, MSata, PCU pwb, Lsu pwb, TC pwb, HVT pwb, MC pwb, HDD, TCI unit, Drum unit and DV unit and Im still getting this "flaring" blacks. The 22-6 looks like it is "double struck" from a typewriter. My 46-74's the colors are good but the black is way off. I will give examples here.

Looks a lot like a Laser Unit issue with the black beam.

Send it on vacation for a minute by changing country code (26-6). Reboot. Set it back to original country. Reboot. This will clear all sims and system settings to factory. OR, try importing clone data from another 3070.

This is a strange one, being you have done everything I would have suggested. Could it be a drum or developing motor? It's just isolated to black so that would be my next guess.

I noticed on the drive section there is also a clutch located by the black process motor.

Ok, Ive tried both suggestions and both are a no-go. still having the problem. Im going to stop the print mid stream to check the drum and TC1 to see if the phenomenon is on either or both.

I found the problem. It seemed to me it was an LSU issue. I looked at the cable and this is what I found!!!!!image_105747139.JPG

You replaced LSU without examining ribbon cable both ends

If you can't get that flat cable back in without it bending, you can put a little bit of superglue on the backside of the bent connectors to adhere it to the cable. That has got me out of a few pinches when I would work on the old HP designjets and their trailing cables.

Ahhhhhh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I did examine it and it was right on the corner so it was very difficult to notice. so after I exhausted all of my resources, I microscoped the cable and found that. But thank you Mr. Helper. LOL
