[Error Code] Toshiba e-studio 556

I work for a school district and have an old scanner/ printer that is no longer under service. The error code I am getting for this Toshiba e-studio 556 is CD40. After extensively looking the problem seems to be with the waste toner box, unfortunately after watching many you tube videos and going through every manual I can find nothing has shown me where this waste toner box is located. This printer has black toner only which is about 2 feet long and cylinder, no color at all. Underneath that is a red velvet heat shield looking piece of equipment, nothing but paper trays under that. I have taken off the back metal plate to no avail. I am hoping that someone here has had previous experience with this type of printer and can lead me to what I am looking for so I can replace this box and get this printer back up and working. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

I appreciate the thought unfortunately that is not the same printer in that video. Here are some pictures to give an idea of which copier I have. I do not believe a video exists on YouTube from what I have seen. With the service manual I have read many of those online as well to no avail.

On the right hand side, lower, is ther3e a panel that will open? Is there a finisher attached?

No panel on the lower right hand side and yes there is a finisher on it

IICR The finisher moves away and the panel is there, I could be wrong but it has to be accessible. The waste toner box is not Hugh so a small access door. some ware below the process unit area.

You would probably get better responses if you repost this in the Toshiba copier forum.

Looking at the manual, it looks like you need a technician to replace it, a Toner bag.
Next time post in the good section of the forum, or try to invoke @SalesServiceGuy
