We have been battling a MX-M7570 with FN34 finisher in a high volume location not advancing staples. We were using Katun staples and have switched back to Sharp OEM staples however the problem has not been resolved. The staple sheet that is in the crimp position will feed forward but the next sheet does not advance. I am not aware of any adjustment available to provide relief. Has anyone had any experience with this issue and is there a solution other than replacing the entire stapling head?

You should be able to replace just the stapler cartridge assembly as well, even swapping it from another machine for testing purposes. Had the same kind of issue on an FN21/22 on a 7500 once, and swapping out the cartridge assembly worked. Just to clarify, not the whole stapler unit, and not just the sleeve of staples, but the (usually clear) plastic holder that you put that sleeve of staples in, and then insert it into the finisher/stapler unit.👍 1Comment

There are 2 silver prongs underneath the sheet of staples that advance the sheet forward.
I'd be checking they haven't been bent.Attached FilesYou do not have permission to view this gallery.
