Setting machine back to default values in sims.

Hello, I am on a MX-3071. It is a used machine we picked up. I want to set everything back to defaults. I tried initialize private data-data in machine. I tried changing to different country and back to US. I changed some values in the sims and they did not change when I tried these two things. I am pretty sure there is a way to reset fully, I just cany find it. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. Thanks.

My routine when we purchase used equipment from the wholesaler is,

1 Figure out if the admin password is set to "admin" if not follow this thread

    2. initialize private data

    3. Sim 66-10 Used to clear the FAX and image send
image data. (The confidential data are also
    cleared.)

    4. Sim 67-17 Printer controller reset/Default value setting

5 Web portal, "system settings"-"storing / calling of system settings"- "restore factory defaults"

    6. Firmware update.

any one else what to chime in?

Once you do initialize private data, pretty sure you don't need to do anything in the web portal for factory defaults, as it does that. I can't say for certain that it does anything for simulations though. I would assume it would, however.
