Did you follow what's in the manual? Also, there's a new training section for this series as well, shows how to remove it, especially because the drum and dv units are locked together when you pull it out of the machine.

From the videos I watched the other day, the transfer belt had two rods on the right side that had to be rotated, pulled, and then rotated again to lift the rods so the belt doesn't touch the drums. We've only set up one of these and it's already in the field, haven't touched it yet. What part of the instructions aren't working out?

The two rods have to be pulled out before you can remote the drum/developer units

I had this happen on a brand new 535 even with the transfer rods being disengaged. If the transfer belt gears get stuck, the rods do nothing. I had to force the transfer belt to rotate so the gears and springs would reset and unlock from the drum/DV units. When you disengage the rods check to make sure the transfer belt lifts off of them. If it doesn't, spin the transfer belt manually. Not a big fan of this design but unfortunately we have a ton of them out in the field.
