    MX-4070V - ERROR L4-11 - Removing Finisher

I received an MX-4070V which shipping ruined the Stacking Finisher.

I'm just trying to get the printer working without the finisher.

From my research I need to buy MX-TU16 AND MX-TR20?
I need both? Any way to test it before ordering?

Did some reading about the shift motor and some screw but no idea what to look at.

Would love some help pointing me in the right direction. Thanks!

All you need is the TU16

To test you must disable shift motor......
you are getting the error because the shift motor is not there, it is part of the TU16

    To disable shift

    SIM 55-1---switch 24 data 7
    change to a 1

This will enable you to test machine without a TU16 or a finisher

      What mansart said!
The motor comes packaged in the TU16

I noticed the foam rings are missing on the exit unit white rollers in your pic (because they were removed for finisher).
I usually have a problem with the paper getting stuck exiting the exit unit without the foam.
Problem is, I haven't found a good way to add them without breaking the tabs that hold the springs.
So, try and add them, or order another exit unit.

If you remove a finisher, from a newer sharp and do not replace the foam rings on the lower exit idle rollers the paper will curl downward, and cause exit fold over issues.
Where the heck is my spring hook?

The foams are replaceable, you do have to break the unit down to get the idle rollers out , usually takes about 15 min on average, much cheaper to spend 15 min over a unit cost. It stinks having to do it but, $4 vs $100 ish. We try to recover them on new machines, that get finishers, but doesnt happen every time. I have just started keeping 4 of them on hand just because of this issue..PCUSS0409FCZZ...They are not the same foams that go on the upper inverter exit, idle rollers, the upper have a smaller diameter.

I just ordered 4 sets of these PCUSS0409FCZZ. Sucks when you don't have them around.
We pull finishers and install MX-TU16 for any sold units that don't need finisher function. Offset shift get's them through the day and saves service calls.
