Also, look for a loose spot where glue didn't stick on the mylar in the process unit. There will be a loose spot. You can see it if you remove the blade holder. We've had a ton of those in the 50-70 series. Even new process units need checked.Leave a comment:

Should handle the flyers with no problem.
The generation before this had a lot of issues with the blanking lamp system. Seems like you might have something blocking the lamp or it just got dirty. I would check that next.
Good luck

Sharp MX5071 is pulling Cyan Developer Material
Hello everyone. I have one MX5071 pulling cyan developer material to the point where it is completely gone describing the image and the material itself. This is the 3rd time it has done this. I have replaced the drum unit, the dev unit once, of course I have to keep replacing cyan developer material.
What I find when I remove the cyan dev unit and drum a nice pile of dev mat on the chute glass, which explains where it goes. I am at a loss however to WHY this is happening.
I finally got word out of the customer that they run...monthly I guess, about 100 flyers with a solid blue background. I'm not a fan of them doing this, but I feel the unit should be able to handle this..
Am I wrong in this assumption? Has anyone else come across this, where a specific color dev mat has been drained solely due to a run of excessive toner?
I thank you in advance for any help/suggestions that you may offer me.
Troy
