    [Misc] User Number Authentication problem

I got a new Sharp copier (BP70C45) that i need to install. The customer want the display to use user authentication by User Number but want the computer to NOT use user number when printing. Is this possible? Been trying for sometime now but only got the machine to wake up and print nothing.

Create user that has everything allowed, save the number in the driver so the customer doesn't notice or has to input the code everytime. (Every PC same code)
And for the machine create users as usual

When you setup authentication there is a check box for prohibiting print jobs from unauthorized user. Uncheck that and you should be good to go.

      Good luck

The problem is that its on a school with many people that come and go with their computers. I need to find a way around using the code while printing or another way to look down the copy machines display for unauthorized personnel.

Try printing in Black and White.

Could be you made a user that only has permission for that.

If you print anonymous, then the lowest persissions count.

First setting the drive, go to printer preferences, select job handling, you will find the auto job control review, tick it. Next time when print will pop out a window request you to keep the user name password or user number.

There's also the option for the driver to ask for authentication (auto job review control) especially if they need to change their User Number when printing.
