Re: Sharp Rotate Sort
Did you have a specific model number in mind?
Most MFP's with two trays and without a finishing option come with the rotate sort option. Often when the finishing option is installed, the rotate sort function is no longer accessible.
It will come down to which model, and what combination of accessories. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Sharp Rotate Sort
Did you say whether your machine has a MX-FN27N, MX-FN28, MX-FN29, MX-FN30, or MXFN31 finisher? Do you have two paper trays, set to Letter & Letter-R respectively?
The brochure lists "electronic sorting", but there are no details in the brochure or the operators guide regarding electronic sort or rotate sort.
Specifically on Kyocera, the rotate sort functionality disappears when any finisher is installed. Maybe the same on Sharp?
Perhaps it needs to be enabled as an option or in the DIPSW? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Sharp Rotate Sort
Sharp doesn't have this option for some reason. None of the usual machines have it, not even the BP models. I'm not sure about the 7090/8090 series or ones with certain finishers, but the typical models do not support it.Comment

Re: Sharp Rotate Sort
All Sharp copiers collate no matter what option is installed.
I know on the Ricoh's the collate option is an extra which needs to be purchased unless a finisher is purchased with the configuration.
This is a poor mans way on the collate option but I do not think you can do it on a sharp device.
I suggest you just select collate as standard when printing and copying so it separates the jobs as you wishComment
