7090 8090 keeps getting false jam. the 22-3 just shows "fuser". all Sharp has is to replace the fuser. has anyone else come up with a solution. I have seen this on new machines with perfect fusers, all firmware is up to date.

Re: "fuser"
Usually when it just says "Fuser" it means it is detecting a fuser wrap jam, meaning it thinks there is a paper wrapped around one of the fuser rollers. you can know for sure by going to sim 22-4 to display all the trouble codes. If you touch the code it will display the cause -

Re: "fuser"
I have had this recently on this model where paper had got under the scrapper plate and jammed around the fuser belt.
When I cleaned the fuser up the exact same jam was registering
When I pulled the fuser apart, 1 of the thermopiles was stuck. There is a white button on the back of it to reset it so it should make a ratting noise again once reset
should be good to go after thisComment

I have a similar problem with MX-7081, when doing B/W, machine is okay but will cause fuser wrap after about 5 full cover print out. The jam code shows Fuser on sim 23 -2. The paper wraps and gets under the fusing belt that you have to take apart the whole fuser unit to get to it - this is really a pain to keep doing the same thing after about 5 print out of testing. This happens to even a brand new fuser unit installed. Reduced the Web configurations via sim 43 - 32 to adjust the web to clean more since I thought it was sticking on the belt because all the Toner is not being cleaned off the roller. I also increased the fuser Temp. I changed to different paper manufacturers. Updated to the latest Firmware, all in vain! We updated customer from MX-7580 which was working fine with the same job print. At first the machine MX-7081 worked fine until after like 150,000 count. Thank you all.Comment

Try to calibrate the color a few times, that will ensure it's laying down the proper amount of toner. Also, check the lead edge on the print, adjust the margin to be a tiny bit bigger, and see if that helps. This goes for just about every machine as well. We have 3 of this series in the field, and all running pretty well thankfully so far, but none of them do SOLID prints, mostly text and minimal graphics. We're about to install an 8081 in an environment that does a lot of everything, and the current 50ppm is almost at 2mil and we had to pull it for a loaner because of the constant issues and the fact that we're already going to upgrade.Comment
