    Service on a MX-3070V

My boss took a service call fora Sharp MX-3070V. I was given the symptoms 'streaks and spots on copies and prints'. When I arrived the machine had note on the screen; 'Maintenance code: DK' . The machine has a total of 526327 on it with black total being 347805 and color total being 178522. The fuser shows some wear and is repeating image on multiple copies/prints.

Is there a PM Kit I need to get? What PM Kit(s) would I need? Where is a good place to buy this stuff?

What service modes would I need to run if I do put in a PM kit?

I will be requesting the service and parts manuals for this machine in the proper area.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

    Re: Service on a MX-3070V

Someone helped me by telling me what "Maintenance Code: DK" is. Looks like the machine is wanting a black Drum unit.

So when I replace the black drum unit, what service modes do I need to run?

How do I get into service mode?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll want to run sim 24-4 maint counter reset
      run 44-27
I also run 44-2 but the manual says it's not necessary
      then 46-74

      Good luck

Just to keep all things correct, this is a public forum, We do not put that information out.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it, maybe, probably not we are at the pub!
