[BP-50C26] More user-friendly scanning after a single scan (address-book entry)

    Hi,

is there a way to make scanning a bit more user-friendly, when doing so from the address-book?
The current way of scanning is:
    1. A user selects his name in the address book, which has a location to a folder on the network tied to it
    2. The user starts the scan
    3. After finishing the scan, the touchscreen shows, that its selected settings goes back to default
Now, if the user wants to scan again into his folder, he needs to select his entry in the address-book again and set his custom settings.

Ideally, it would be nice to let the last selected entry and custom made settings a little while.
Or as an alternative: Always keep the scanning-address from the last selected address book entry.
Maybe there is a completely other way around?

    Is this doable somehow?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, then you have to also go in to Image Send > Common Settings, and enable the hold address setting. All Sims does is make it visible. Why it isn't an option to check by default, I'm not sure. Probably some useless security idea.

Just create a shortcut key on the home screen with he pre-defined settings and address already included. THen it's one touch scanning.

Yes, but then you have to go back home every time you scan and reselect it. Right idea, but even more steps

... is this the same requirement for the BP70C65 Advanced series?

This works for a lot of machines thankfully. Here's the original bulletin, there's also a newer one for the Phoenix/Griffin and newer series'

I've set the option and did a testscan, but after the scan it goes back to default as it had no effect.
Not sure right now if there is another way to approach scanning, for what this option is?

                  Thank you guys.

Did you change the SW bit ?
                    55-3 SW30 Bit 3 at 1

                    Then in the settings

Without the bit and with the bit :

Have you also tried turning on the Hold settings... option?

What do you mean by change SW bit?

I don't have a 'Hold adress...' option, only the first one.

You need to go into sim mode and change the sim they listed on top. The option will not come out in settings until you do that.

Go into sim mode, 55-3, and set SW 30 bit 3 to 1

It worked! Big thanks to you guys.

To enter SIM Mode for the BP-50C26 I had to type: # * C * into the keyboard.

I wonder what else is hidden by this method.
