    Sharp AR-M455 code E6-11

I have a customer with E6-11 error code and when I get there the machine won't allow you to do 2 sided copies. I reset the error in simulation and it works fine for a while then goes back. I have tried swapping the reference plate out as the manual says to do and I have swapped the CIS unit also with no luck. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    J

It just gets more expensive from here on.

I'd try reseating all the SPF connectors, then replacing the main SPF harness next, then replacing the scanner PWB. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Take a look in the back of the DF and see if any staples have fallen down there. The size detector on that model opens a little gap that crap can fall through right ontop of the scanner board.

Also check the connector that goes to the MFP for bent pins.

My memory is a little foggy on this one but there is a board that sits ontop of the CIS and if it blows up i think it gave the E6-11. In training there was a little accident and that board got mixed up between a 355 & 350. Poof!
