    Sharp mx2700 error code dk

    Hi everybody,

does anybody knows what this error means? We still don't have the service manual but we think is a maintenance related problem.
If anybody can help me now it would be really appreciated.

It is Black Drum code. Should also be black developer and primary transfer belt are at 100k.

There is some logic to it:

          Drum Cyan
          Drum Magenta
          D
          rum Yellow
          Drum blacK
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Even if you reset it, you will still need the drum unit or drum/mc kit replaced very soon. They dont last much longer than specified, before you get totally crap C/Q (lines etc etc). Eventually the drum edges wear away so much, they start pulling dev out of the dev tank.

You can usually get away with not replacing the K dev. If you reset the K dev at the same time as replacing the K drum unit, the machine adjusts itself and works really well. Maybe a dev stir here or there, but the dev usually lasts 200-300K.

Also, the primary belt unit lasts alot longer than the 100K spec. We always get 200K out of them before replacement or refurb.

All up, do the drum, reset as above. Make sure Firmware is up-to-date. Alot of new fixes recently.
