    Sharp AR-505 with FN3 Finisher

    Hi,

Have a FN3 Finisher with a top tray jam, nothing there ... don't have this particular manual, but in diagnostics: "Ready" is highlighted as well as: STORHP, OFHP, STHP, T3PDHP, T1PF, and T3UP ... copier works O.K. with Finisher disconnected

    Any Ideas ???

    Thanks, Mike

Concentrate on T1PF (Tray 1 Paper Full Sensor). This one should be inactive (not highlighted). The other highlighted ones are mainly home position sensors, so they should be highlighted.

Excellent use of diagnostic tools. A+

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

On that FN3 check the clutch that drives the top exit rollers of the finisher, I have seen that clutch cause problems with age and time.
