F2-04 is not a common code at all, unless the cartridge is faulty or you are using the incorrect cartridge.

The only thing I can remember on this subject is, on a previous series machine, that code showed up if the LSU had a fault, dragging down the 5V line, then giving F2-04.

Try your cartridge in another machine or try another cartridge (wouldn't be the first time a faulty CRUM chip was bad out of the box).

CRUM chip harness usually plugs into the PCU board as part of a larger harness. Off the top of my head, I cant tell you which one, but reseat all PCU plugs as a precaution.

Still thinking its a cartridge fault though.........

There was one Jupiter that we had a hell of a time fitting the toner cartridge on setup. It just would not go all the way in. After a lot of struggling, one of my co-workers finally got the cartridge in and working.

About two months later we got the first service call. It was out of toner, and the customer could not get the cartridge changed. The modular connector that mates to the CRUM chip was not aligned correctly, specifically the bracket that holds the connector was mangled. It was easy enough to remove the bracket and re-form it with pliers to its proper shape. It was a little discouraging that the bracket was so easy to deform/ reform.

      Maybe it's the bracket. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The bent CRUM connector was a big problem here with the Dragon2's. As my main man said... it's an easy fix, but it shouldnt happen in the first place. Never heard of it on the Jupiters

Faulty Cartridge was the issue, Replaced it and ran fine....Question...Will this unit print with the USB or PAR port? Has Fax installed no Ethernet port.

No, not, neither. The parallel & USB ports are for loading firmware only. To print you need to upgrade it to an AR-M455N. =^..^=

I know that the AR-M450U will print through parallel with a print server, not so with the 455U???

There was a post earlier that Sharp changed the way the copier prints from the ARM350 and 355 series, sorry can't seem to find it now. You can print to the U version of the 350 but not the 355. Really a pain since you need the ARP19 (?) print controller which costs a bundle!!
