    ARM205 OPE PWB

Customer had an ARM205 in a carpeted room, and on a dry day, touched the panel and discharged static. The panel will light up and most of it will work for about 2 minutes when you turn on the machine. The original data section never works. I'm assuming the OPE PWB took the hit and needs replaced, but don't have another one to test it. Do you think I'm thinking right?
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

Most likely the damage will be isolated to the panel. Go for it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Someone asked today what we finally did to fix this problem, so I thought I'd pass along what we found. Ops panel replacement didn't do it so just to try something we replaced the ribbon cable and everything came to life. Don't know how it got fried, but it did.
