Yes sir. I've changed a lot of those lasers. If you're lucky it will be a late production engine. It's a 15 minute job. If you're not so lucky it's an early production engine, which has a very inconvenient frame crosspiece in the way of removing the laser. Then it's a 3+ hour job and the machine is stripped.

The way you can tell is to remove the right cover from the engine. If here is a flat metal plate with a couple of mylar flaps around the top of the laser that is easily removed with two screws, congratulations. If that metal plate has screws through the front and rear frames, bring a lunch.

I wrote a procedure the last time I saw one of those early production engines. If you want it, PM. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I replaced the laser motor in every machine i had in the original tiger series. (ARM350/450) Around the 3 year mark they died, i always had to keep a laser motor in stock. Once the new motor was installed it never had a problem. The laser motor was added as a service item later in production so i have a feeling they changed the motor. The board looked differnt. I have yet to touch a ARM355/455 or MX laser.

If i remember right you can use the laser motor from a ARM355 in the ARM350, they should be interchangeable.

No, it's always the laser. I've never done anything else for an L6-10.

L6-10 is polygon motor lock. Machine is not detecting that it's spinning up. Only once ive had it where the laser was actully at fault.

Changing the laser will for sure fix your problem but it's a lot more money vs just replacing the motor.
